Blackburn Ridge offers an all-inclusive rural escape, blending relaxation and exploration tailored to your pace. Begin your adventure with a private farm walk featuring diverse terrain and breathtaking views of the Ruahine Ranges and Central Hawke’s Bay. On subsequent days, switch to e-biking along quiet back roads, taking in expansive landscapes, historic landmarks, and charming villages. With flexible options for leisurely or adventurous rides, each day ends back at the homestead, where you can unwind in the outdoor hot tub and enjoy farm-to-table meals amid serene rural beauty.

What's Included

Arrival day: Check in 4pm, dinner/dessert provided. 
Day 1: Breakfast, morning/afternoon tea, lunch, dinner & dessert provided

Day 2: Breakfast, morning/afternoon tea, lunch, Check out 4pm

  • Boutique accommodation with fresh linen, towels, pillows. No sleeping bags required
  • 14km private walks with shorter options and access to maps

  • Booking Information for Two Night Retreat

    • The date you select on the calendar is your arrival date to Blackburn Ridge Homestead
    There is no need to select the second or third night, just select the first night.

    Groups of 4 to 7 : $900 per person

    Groups of 8 to 10 : $800 per person

    • The booking name can be transferred at no cost. 
    • It is not essential to have all of your group members details when booking, we will collect these on arrival. 
    • Minimum 4 people, maximum 10 people, please enquire if more. If numbers change, no problem, we will update your booking provided its within a week of arrival to give our chef notice.
    • Closed August/September and over Christmas/NY

    E-Bikes

    All bikes come with a helmet, a comfortable bike seat, a bell & water-bottle holder. The group will have a flat tyre kit available for use which includes 2 x tubes, levers and pump. We have 10x Specialized Turbo Tero 3.0 Step Through E-Bikes available to use:
    • 3 x Small 5'1-5'5" 155cm-165cm
    • 4 x  Medium 5'5"-5'11" 165-cm-178cm
    • 3 x  Large 5'9" - 6'1" 175cm-185cm
    We also have two Specialized Turbo Como with an even lower step through:
    • 1 x Small 5'1-5'5" 155cm-165cm
    • 1 x  Medium 5'5"-5'11" 165-cm-178cm

    Local wine and beer

    The homestead is stocked with a selection of local wine and craft beer for your enjoyment. The group leader's credit card details will be stored for any purchases.

    Deposit

    $250 per person
    Balance payment is due 60 days prior to arrival date.

    To secure any booking we require a deposit to be paid in advance. Select the first day of your experience for the date required.

    Credit card (no fees). Please email if you would like to pay by direct bank deposit.

    Cancellation policy

    • 60 days or more notice - full refund
    • 60 – 30 days’ notice - your deposit of $250 per person will not be refunded
    • 0 – 30 days’ notice - no refund will be given
